Millie is a singer/songwriter from the Scottish Borders. She began writing at the age of fourteen and has been performing at small local festivals and pubs ever since and played on the Carvetti stage at this years Kendal Calling festival. She recreates the sounds of a ‘one woman band’ with the help of her loop station to create layers of alternative, acoustic melodies. Her influences are an eclectic mix of sounds ranging from The Smiths to the likes of Alt J and Bombay Bicycle Club. She has also been compared to a young Laura Marling and KT Tunstall accompanied with an “impressive depth and range” vocally.
